a bit of bicycle geekery for boxing day.
My Atlantis has very high & wide wheel clearance so that you can use big, fat tires, or knobby tires with or without fenders, so I've always been jealous of riders about town with beautifully-mounted fenders that hug the tires... the Atlantis has far too much clearance for that, and I get sprayed with water when going fast.
Inspired by this article I finally found time to fix it today. I got longer M5 screws and some aluminum tubing plus washers to use as spacers, then extended the rear fender to be closer to the tire.
After a little trial & error, this worked great for the back wheel; the front will require a bit more bracket customization. But at least now I won't get sprayed as much nor kick up as much spray on rainy rides!
