taking the kid-heads bowling

a belated ‘Happy Seventh Birthday!’ to Malcolm who turned 7 on June 24th.  For his birthday we took him and his friends for cosmic bowling at Spin Alley up in Shoreline.  ‘Twas fun… they replace the gutters on the kids’ lanes with rubber bumpers so that nobody goes home as gutterball king :). 

Vital stats for Malcolm’s Seven Year-Mark: 

Height:  50 inches (last year:  47 3/4”) (92nd percentile, where he’s been all along)

Weight:  70 lbs.  (last year: 54 lbs) (96th percentile, a bit high!)

dungeness

just catching up on some posts now.  We had a great bicycle ride/ weekend trip to Dungeness and Sequim around 6/20-21.  The Olympic Discovery Trail is great, and I’d definitely recommend the Diamond Point Inn B&B for the breakfast time bird watching alone.

Of course, walking along the spit at Dungeness is just a cherry on top… great weekend.  Snaps are here.

faux hawk

Malcolm gets a ‘faux hawk’ haircut – after I wouldn’t let hm get a mohawk – 6/6/09.  He may not yet bend the ball like Beckham, but he can sure bend his hair like him!

may visitors

Susan’s sister DeAnn and her kids visited Seattle last week.  We had a great time with them!  Malcolm especially (OK, mostly) loved the “instant siblings”, and it was nice to have someone besides us to play with and entertain him for a change :).
