very Christmas-y right now with snow on the ground, visits with friends and a desire to get all hygge (roughly translated: cosy) @ home. Here’s Malcolm decorating gingerbread cookies that Susan made
and making a snow-fort in the yard
he and Susan went sliding in the park today… fun! But I had to work, alas, and watched from the window near my desk, like a pet in a petshop at springtime. But there’s more fun to be had yet this season!
What are the odds that we both blog about "hygge" on the same day? I need you and your language skills over on my blog today...
Meanwhile... gosh, isn't Malcolm getting so tall!?

Hi Trish! Nice to hear from you again. I'd been watching your 'detox' posts with some envy and then, well, the holiday season arrived.
You're right about Malcolm: We starve him and leave him outside, neglect him no end, but he keeps growing.
Small fact about Princess Mary (ne'e Donaldson) whom you mentioned in your post: She used to work at Microsoft in Vedbæk, DK (where I also worked) just before becoming 'Princess', but while engaged to Frederik. There were some rather wild holiday parties while she was there, with embarrassing drunken snaps of many people, but her security (yes, she had security even before her marriage) ensured she wasn't in any of the photos although she attended the parties :). She had left for the royal life by the time I arrived, but by all accounts she's a nice, down-to-earth character, typical of you Aussies :).
